Back up your room

Your room lives on your phone. Export and Import are free for everyone. To keep a copy:

  1. Open Settings › Your save › Export save…
  2. Pick a folder, such as Documents or a cloud drive. Pocket Haven remembers it for next time.

The file holds your whole room, your credits and your session history. Keep it somewhere safe. If backup is on in your phone’s settings, Android may also back up the app to your Google account.

Restore your room, or move to a new phone

  1. Install Pocket Haven on the new phone and open it.
  2. Open Settings › Your save › Import save and choose your save file.
  3. Pocket Haven shows what the file holds next to what is there now. Tap Replace to bring your room back.

Your room from before the import is kept until you decide, so a wrong file is easy to undo.

Moving from the test app

If you tested the early version, the Play version is a separate app, and your room doesn’t move across by itself. Use Export save in the old app, then Import save in the new one, and uninstall the old app afterwards.

Restore Pro

Pro belongs to your Google account. On a new phone, or after reinstalling:

  1. Sign in to Google Play with the account you bought Pro on.
  2. Open Settings › Pocket Haven Pro › Restore purchases.

If it says no purchase was found, check which Google account the Play Store is using. Google Play handles refunds: how to ask for one.

Notifications arrive late

Pocket Haven uses exact alarms so the end-of-session notification arrives on time. If you didn’t allow them, the session still counts, but the notification can be late. To allow them, open your phone’s Settings › Apps › Pocket Haven › Alarms & reminders and turn it on. The names differ slightly between phones.

Some phones also stop apps in the background to save battery. If notifications don’t arrive at all, set Pocket Haven’s battery use to Unrestricted in the same app settings.

A session failed when I didn’t leave

A session only fails if you switch to another app and don’t come back within 10 seconds. Locking the phone, the screen turning off and phone calls are all fine. If a session failed anyway, please write to me with the time and what you were doing. It helps me fix it.

Crash reports

If you agreed to send crash reports, Pocket Haven sends a short technical report when something goes wrong. Turn them on or off in Settings › Privacy › Send crash reports. The privacy policy says exactly what a report holds.
